GSOF Symposium Europe 2023 will take place at Brno Exhibition Centre. The venue is located in Brno, Czech Republic - an easily accessible city that boasts a rich cultural heritage in the heart of Europe.

As a central European city within only 3 hours from Prague and 2 hours from Vienna, Brno is well connected with direct links to several European destinations. To help plan your visit, please use the information below.

Air Travel

Air Travel

To travel to the venue by air, there are flights every few days from London Stanstead Airport. You can get direct flights from Milan, Tenerife and Tivet. 

You can find direct flights to Brno on their website here.

Alternatively, there are more regular flights to Prague and Vienna from all European capitals. Upon arrival, Brno is easily accessible by other means of transport. Please refer to the Local Transport section for further information.

By car

You will require a highway stamp if you plan to travel on the highway and expressway from Vienna, Prague and Ostrava. You can buy one at border crossings, petrol stations and at the post office.

Bus

From Prague-Ruzyně Airport, there are regular buses every half an hour daily to Brno city centre operated by ČSA.

Once in Brno, Brno has an extensive bus network connecting it to neighboring countries and cities. You can find information about bus routes and schedules on the FlixBus (https://www.flixbus.com) or RegioJet (https://www.regiojet.com) websites.

Train

Brno is a major railway hub with excellent connections to various European cities. You can check the train schedules and book your tickets on the Czech Railways website (https://www.cd.cz/en).

Alternately, you can purchase train tickets direct with RegioJet (https://regiojet.com/)

The station at the Vienna airport is Flughafen Wien and the Brno station is Brno hl.n.

RideShare Apps

Rideshare apps such as uber are available.

Our Czech SOF partners will provide shuttle service daily from the GSOF Europe Room Block hotels to the event venue daily. Visit shuttle schedule here.

There are a wealth of accommodation options available for visitors to GSOF Europe 2023.

But to foster after-hours networking and keep our community connected, GSOF has negotiated favorable rates and group blocks for this event. Plus, we will have a shuttle daily from these properties to the event venue, so you can skip the hassle of renting a car and paying for parking!

Visiting Brno 

Founded in the 11th Century, Brno is the Czech Republic's second largest city following Prague, and is home to a number of attractions, architecture and food outlets to visit during your stay.

This city features many places of interest, including the Capuchin Crypt, Denisovy Sady park, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the observation deck, Náměstí Svobody, the Špilberk Castle and UNESCO-listed Tugendhat Villa to name a few. 

The Brno Convention Bureau offers tons of resources on planning your visit.  They have even created a handy tool just for our attendees!
